The economic system is an egoistic copy of that inner point called “man.” In the economy, we carry out certain acts with the intention of earning maximum profits with minimal investment and risk, based on practical egoistic calculations.

When dealing with the ego, we cannot assign numerical values because of emotional inclinations to our families, the state’s interests, our nation’s, and so on. Actually, it is possible to calculate everything when a person is inclined toward giving to others. Then it is possible to conduct a precise calculation, just as you would in an ideal economy. How much can I get out of every desire, each situation, every act or move, in order to receive the maximum satisfaction? Both cases deal with benefit and reception, with feeling satisfied. But the calculation is the same – how can we get from one state to another?

Our current economic woes are actually revealing our narrow egoistic weakness –I like this, I don’t like that, I totally reject this, I like her, I don’t like him, and so on. If we do not know the interconnections of the economic system, who can make the correct calculation? This is the real economy that we will have to build.

To put it another way, we must become familiar with the rules of the system, and grasp how egoism operates correctly with the help of two forces. Today our economy operates with only one. The true calculation is the correct balance of giving and receiving according to our position and that of society.

We need to measure and account for the mutual ties between us. In the meantime we are incapable of doing this. We will need to account for mental and emotional ties between us at different levels of association, and relate to them in order to bestow to others. All this will be funneled into a pure mathematical economic calculation. If we add quantitative parameters that reflect our feelings and states, we will receive certain and secure results.

The correct economy must take into account our inner and external desires and the sum of working together with them in a mutual manner. That is precisely the economy. It is not by chance that the main crisis is economic. After all the economy is the most important thing for us. Not the destruction of the family unit, the educational or ecological crisis, but it is actually the economic issues that have caused us to get serious about the crisis.

In time we will develop a healthy economy, use it in accord with the general system, and find the right transition toward it. However, we can only make this transition if we add mutual responsibility and solidarity to the equation.
