Don’t you find it a little ironic that the first systems in society to go are the ones that connect us the most? Two of the world’s leading smartphone providers experienced difficulties this month. Since the root of the crisis is in human relations, as long we keep focusing on the results instead of dealing with the crisis at that root level, we can look forward to more of these types of glitches or friendly warnings. We can also ignore the signs completely and hope everything will just work itself out but that is pretty unlikely. It looks like the universe has a serious plan and it is really just getting warmed up.

‘Error 3200’ even became a trending topic on Twitter as users were repeatedly confronted with the message as they tried to download the free package of updates intended to bring older iPhones into line with the functions offered by the iPhone 4S. Apple’s woes come as BlackBerry itself struggles to appease its increasingly angry users as an outage of email, messaging and internet services stretched into a third day. It is the biggest outage in years for BlackBerry users, and strains their relationship with an already tarnished brand. It is also interesting to note how high-tech founders are usually high-school buddies or people that studied together in college. Everything is wonderful at the beginning with everyone dreaming about how much money they will make and how they will conquer the world together. But the moment the money comes rolling in, everyone acts completely differently.  Suddenly they are very important and have secretaries and “please knock before you enter.” They are actually afraid to relax or take time off in case the shareholders decide to replace them. The wonderful dream turns into the ultimate prison of the 21^st century with programmers, marketing teams, and management working 12-hour days and taking company vacations together to keep everything “in the firm.” Not to mention the dream team that started the whole thing – are either bought out early or can barely stand to be in each other’s presence.

So are we surprised this bubble has finally burst? Even the technology cannot handle the negative vibes at this stage.

We can expect to see a lot more of this in the coming months since the economy is simply a reflection of the entire (broken) system of connections between us.  What kind of consultant should be called in when this happens? Only a human relations expert. That will be the new HR. They are the only professionals with the ability to shift an organization to be aligned with the laws of the new era. That is how we will change the interconnections in the world, meaning the entire order of ties connecting people.
